Do not be afraid
Fear. It's a four-letter word, and yet it's one of the most popular weapons the enemy throws at us. This is such an important topic that I just finished my book "Do Not Fear" on it.
I just wanted to share some important tidbits that were not in my book because of what is going on today. In today's age, we are going through so many things that the media throws at us that just spreads the fear. There are so many things going on wars, rumors of wars, sickness, viruses, you name it, and yet it's important not to allow ourselves to give in to the fear. Many of these very same things were going on in Jesus' days.
Jesus told us many times not to be afraid, do not fear, fret not.... so many times and it's because fear tolerated is faith contaminated, they cannot co-exist. When you have faith fear has to leave. That is why we need to renew our minds with the word of God.
Romans 12:2 says; Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.
Matthew 6; 28-34 Jesus said; And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 24:6 Jesus said; You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
You see the enemy wants you to focus your energy on what is going on to distract you and take your mind off the things of God. Jesus said on John 10:10 The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy but I come that you might have life and have it abundantly.
John 3:16 says For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved.
That is great news did you hear that?? John was telling us what the Lord did "For God so Loved the World" He does he gave you such a gift you just need to receive it! All you have to do is receive it that's right the price was paid he gave His life for you and me that we would have a relationship with him. Wow so awesome, His Grace His Love knows no bounds. His love is wireless, He's never to busy for us, our calls don't go to voicemail. He loves you and the enemy knows that he just doesn't want you to realize that. Why do I say this? So that you could find that peace you're looking for, that joy that you so richly desire and it' at your fingertips.
Romans 10:9-10 says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved. With the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Once you do that and ask our Lord Jesus in your life you will realize that this was the best decision you have ever made and no one else could fill your life with the joy and peace of God as He can. So go ahead make that decision, you have nothing to lose but fear itself and that is a great trade!!
